The Word of the Lord Cannot Be Stopped
Micah 2
Questions for further reflection:
Do you think of sin as serious as you should? As seriously as God thinks about sin?
Are you now seeking or have you in the past sought to silence God’s word, either by opposing views others have been proving from scripture, or by ignoring scriptural advice or rebuke? If so, have you repented--confessed and apologized--for this to God and the person who you opposed/ignored?
Is your response to someone scripturally calling you out on your sin to consider it seriously and repent and believe, or do you tend to “shoot the messenger”?
Do you trust in the promises of God, or even more, the promiser who broke through into this world, not to minimize sin, but to die for it in light of all of its deadly seriousness?
